Sowing Instructions

Direct Sowing (Recommended)

  2. Location: Choose a full sun location with well-draining soil.

  3. Soil Preparation: Loosen the soil and mix in some compost to improve drainage.

  4. Sowing Depth: Lightly press seeds into the soil without covering them—they need light to germinate.

  5. Spacing: Space seeds 6–12 inches apart for proper airflow.

  6. Watering: Keep the soil moist but not soggy until germination occurs.

Indoor Sowing (For Early Blooms)

  1. Timing: Start seeds indoors 4–6 weeks before the last frost.

  2. Temperature: Keep soil temperature around 60–70°F (15–21°C) for germination.

  3. Lighting: Place in a bright location with 12–16 hours of light per day.

  • Watering: Water moderately; avoid overwatering as candytuft prefers slightly dry conditions.
