All U.S. seed orders shipped from outside the United States must first be sent to the UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA) Plant Inspection Station for inspection before USDA forwards the shipment to the buyer.

If you are ordering for a specific planting date, we recommend ordering as early as possible. U.S. seed orders must go through USDA inspection before final delivery, so they are not recommended for last-minute planting projects.

For spring planting, ordering 6 to 8 weeks ahead gives the shipment more time to go through processing, international transit, USDA inspection, and final USPS forwarding. 

Orders are processed from Monday thru Friday.
Processing/Handling time for seed packets is 1 to 3 weeks. 
Processing time for BULK seeds is 6 weeks (not including weekends).  
 
It is the buyers responsibility to know which seeds or plants are allowed in their country.
  • Bulk / Wholesale orders take longer to process and deliver. 
  • We do not offer Phytosanitary Certificates at this time 
Please read the SEED GUIDE / planting instructions on our website especially if you are new to gardening. It is more detailed and takes a few minutes to read or print. Please do not rely solely on the “Cliff Notes” version of the sowing instructions in the description (if any).
 
The time taken for perennial seeds to germinate varies from species to species. Some take a few weeks or months while others need up to 2 years. Not all seeds germinate at the same time and most species DO NOT have a 100% germination rate. Some species need to be chilled, scarified or soaked in water in order to germinate. This applies to several species of vines, trees, shrubs, tropicals and large seeds. Seeds of perennials can be fickle. Seeds that normally germinate quickly may not do so, and supposedly dormant seeds may germinate rapidly. It is wise to keep pots or trays of seeds for a year after the expected germination date.

  • Refunds and cancellations are accepted if the item has not been shipped.
  • The buyer can return the order within 14 days if it is in its original packaging and the buyer is responsible for shipping costs.
