Lathyrus commonly known as Sweet pea, Everlasting pea, Peavines, Perennial pea, Bitter vetch, Meadow vetchling, Yellow vetchling, Persian everlasting pea, Chickling pea or Spring vetchling are annuals, herbaceous or evergreen perennials from sunny, sandy or pebbly banks, grassy slopes, wasteland or open woodland in N. temperate regions, N. and E.
