Calendula commonly known as English or Pot Marigold are bushy, fast growing, sometimes spreading annuals and woody based, evergreen perennials, occurring in arable land, wasteland and rocky habitats from S. Europe to North Africa. Leaves are aromatic, Daisy-like flowerheads, with orange or yellow ray florets and yellow, orange, violet, purple or brown disk florets that flower over a long period and throughout autumn into mild winters.
